In my memories of birthday parties, family gatherings and picnics there were always sausage rolls! I wanted to see if I could create a more nourishing version which would still be gloriously flaky and delicious and bring back all those happy memories. I've used an adapted version of a Cauldron recipe which makes uses of Cauldron vegetarian sausages - they're quick and easy and will remain the star of a buffet table!
